Bernard Grancher This album is just incredible, I lack superlatives to say as I like all aspects of what it degates. First, even if he refers to passing music, I find it difficult to find equivalents in the emotions he gives me. I do not know how to say if it is the work on voices or sound textures but this album is absolutely captivating and provokes in me a state of trance by generating a kind of paradoxical sleep very rich in visions and awaking dreams. Favorite track: Volca Like a Volcano (My Words Spill Out).

Future Children’s "It All Falls Apart" is a concept (presented in image and song) that sets to explore the human desire to understand the "hard" problem of consciousness and existence, or even to deny them; the desire to transcend perceived temporal and spacial constraints along with the ceding of or demanding, control, both in individuals and groups (society).
The songs on this first volume, although referring to separate consciousness, deal with the same thread.
Since we have our own consciousness, we have the freedom to choose how we understand life.
This album explores the minds of people who existed and will exist, how they managed the life they did in the perceptions they obtained, in the minds they’ve created with the experiences they’ve collected.

We start in 1882 with Madame X.
She decided that her body no longer existed and completely denied her physical form.
No one - even the physician who gave the his name to the condition that she suffered from - could convince her otherwise and she eventually died of starvation.
Jack Parsons laid the groundwork for NASA by pioneering the invention of solid fuel.
Brilliant and curious, he became attracted to the occult philosophy of one Aleister Crowley and his sex magic philosophy, Thelema.
Bobby Beausoleil was good looking, he was musical, and his good luck eventually ran out. He eventually got involved with the Manson family, killing a friend, caught up in Charlie’s world.

The "bookend" of this concept is "fable" about a 24th-century android, once cutting edge and but now obsolete. This "machinery," like all such machines, gains some "soul" but this time it's literal; this Android begins understanding existential dread, becoming human.
Each of these characters face the same ending; death. Their collections of perception and how they choose to interpret it is what creates their universe, and inevitably, what makes it all fall apart...

Here are the song descriptions for each track:
"In Excelsis AeroJet" - Jack Parsons was a cofounder of Aerojet in 1942

"Catalogue of Lost Things" Madame X believed herself to be immortal and yet not there.

"Volca Like a Volcano (My Words Spill Out)" - The Android attempts to speak.

"Angels All Turn Gray" - this song features some of Parsons' own words from his Thelemic poetry.

"Negation" is how Cotard, her physician, describes Madame X’s disposition, referencing the denial of her corporal form

"Charlie and Me" - Bobby Beausoleil, although an individual, was caught up in the gravitational pull of Manson and his Family. He is still in prison today.

Future Children is the duo of CC Sheehan and Kevin Coral.
They first met back in the late 90s at Waterloo Sound recording studio (Guided By Voices, Kramies) and CC joined Coral's critically-acclaimed band, The Witch Hazel Sound in '98 for two albums. As Future Children, the boys have been spending the past several years recording some remixes (most notably one for the UK's famous psych duo, Amorphous Androgynous, which also featured the vocals of the legendary Peter Hammill from Van Der Graff Generator), a track with the Belgian artist Benjamin Schoos, which appeared on his "Doubt in my Heart" album and their first full-length (a "soundtrack" to the paranoid 60s classic book "The Crying of Lot 49" on the Scottish tape label, Bibliotapes, which was recently featured in the Guardian newspaper for their clever tapes that all feature musicians devoting a whole album to a certain book.). This year besides having an album out on the legendary Italian label, NOIA Records, Future Children have on track on the forthcoming Vangelis tribute on the well-known UK label, Castles in Space in late March.
